About Inboxwright

An independent comparison site for email marketing software, written for businesses that send to customers and leads.

Inboxwright is an independent site that compares email marketing software for small and B2B businesses. We are not owned by, or partnered with, any of the platforms we write about, beyond the affiliate arrangements set out on our affiliate disclosure page.

A wright is someone who builds things for a living — a shipwright, a wheelwright. We took the name because choosing email software is a practical job with parts you can measure: the price at your list size, the send cap, the number of seats. We try to hand you those parts, labelled, rather than a verdict you have to take on trust.

How we work

Every price on this site was read on the vendor's own pricing page, and every page says when. Where a price hides behind a slider or a drop-down, we set the control to each list size and record the figure it shows. Where a vendor does not publish a number, we say so instead of estimating one.

Our rankings follow a rubric published on the best email marketing software page, with the weight of each factor printed so you can disagree with it. Scores are editorial judgements based on published plans and documentation.

What we have not done

We have not sent test campaigns through the platforms we compare, and we do not publish open rates, click rates, inbox-placement or deliverability figures. Those numbers depend on the list and the message, and no vendor publishes them in a form that can be checked. When a vendor makes a claim about performance, we either quote it as the vendor's claim or leave it out.

Corrections

Prices and plans change often. If you find a figure on this site that no longer matches the vendor's page, tell us and include the page and the date you saw it. We re-check the figure at the source, correct it, and update the page's date.

What we cover and what we do not

We cover email marketing platforms for businesses, bulk sending, free plans and the rules that apply to marketing email. We do not cover cold outreach to people who have not opted in, mailbox hosting, or the email tools bundled into website builders.
